EPL week 15 predictions

Bournemouth vs Liverpool prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 12:30

Bournemouth welcome Liverpool to the Vitality Stadium this Saturday afternoon for the Premier Leagues first game of week 16. Bournemouth put an end to four straight defeats during the week, beating Huddersfield 2-1 on home soil. They will be hoping to build on that this weekend but will be up against it if they’re going to beat this Liverpool team.

Liverpool once again won during the week to maintain their unbeaten run so far this campaign. This has kept them just two points behind Manchester City which would have pleased manager Jurgen Klopp. Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have once again been outstanding for the team, with Roberto Firmino going slightly under the radar. Liverpool will know what a tough game this is going to be but need to win these ones if they are going to challenge for the title.

Bournemouth have had a very good season up to now for there standards and will be desperate to put on a show for their fans. However, we think this Liverpool team are just too strong for Bournemouth and will bag all three points.

Correct score prediction: Bournemouth 0 – 2 Liverpool
Odds: 7/1

Arsenal vs Huddersfield prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 15:00

Arsenal have had a week to remember after beating Tottenham last weekend and drawing away to Manchester United on Wednesday night. Alexander Lacazette was on target in both games, coming off the bench on both occasions. The Frenchman has linked up an outstanding
partnership with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who are causing defences all kind of problems.

Huddersfield will be well up against it if they are to get anything from this one. Not only have Huddersfield been struggling themselves, but Arsenal are now 19 matches without defeat and playing with a lot of class and swagger. Any points for Huddersfield would not only be a bonus, but it’ll be a shock as well.

Only one winner for us this weekend and that’s the home side. Arsenal have been far better than recent times this season and should win this comfortably.

Correct score prediction: Arsenal 3 – 0 Huddersfield
Odds: 4/1

Burnley vs Brighton prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 15:00

You have got to feel for Sean Dyche and his Burnley side. At the beginning of the season, they were in the playoffs for the Europa League after an overachieving season. However, they were not able to make it to the group stages of that and now they find themselves in the relegation
zone. Watching this Burnley side, it’s hard to see them getting out of this slump but if they are too, they need to very quickly.

Brighton will be buzzing after smashing Crystal Palace in the M23 Derby during the week. Not only did they win, but they also won it with ease and with 10 men for over 60 minutes of the game. This would have given them a huge lift and one they will want to take into this game. Brighton don’t often win games away from home but the win away to Huddersfield last weekend may have given them the confidence to push on.

Burnley really need to start picking up points quickly, but with this current run of form, we really struggle to see that happening anytime soon. Especially against an in-form side like Brighton.

Correct score prediction: Burnley 1 – 3 Brighton
Odds: 18/1

Cardiff vs Southampton prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 15:00

Cardiff come into this one having won back to back Premier League games on home soil for the first time this season which has seen them jump above Southampton and out of the relegation zone. No, Cardiff are not a top half team but what they do have is a lot of passion which can go a long way. They will see this as a good chance to move further away from the bottom three.

It’s been all change for Southampton this week with Mark Hughes sacked and former RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl signed on a 2 and a half year deal. Southampton are the only
team to have won just once this season but have had a lot of draws keeping them just one point from safety. It’s not too late, but the new manager has a lot of work to do to get Saints playing as they were in previous seasons.

Cardiff will be well up for this one but when a club gets a new manager, they tend to get a reaction and that’s what we see Southampton doing this weekend.

Correct score prediction: Cardiff 0 – 1 Southampton
Odds: 5/1

Manchester United vs Fulham prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 15:00

Manchester United came from behind twice on Wednesday night to get a point at home to Arsenal, but at times did look very vulnerable, especially in defence. It was also an error from goalkeeper David De Gea in the first half which gave Arsenal their initial lead. United will be looking for nothing short of three points in this one.

Fulham let a 1-0 lead slip during the week to draw at home to Leicester which wasn’t enough to lift them off the bottom of the Premier League table. It’s hard to see how they have managed at the bottom as the team are scoring goals, but it’s keeping them out the other end which is causing the big problems.

With United being the home team, we expect nothing but a Manchester United win. However, Fulham will be fighting for there lives and will know United are beatable.

Correct score prediction: Manchester United 1 – 0 Fulham
Odds: 5/1

West Ham vs Crystal Palace prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 15:00

West Ham put on a fine second-half performance during the week at home the Cardiff took them up to 11th in the league and have them back to back wins in the league for the first time in nearly two years. There was some bad news from the game with Arnautovic picking up a hamstring injury which could keep him out until the new year.

Crystal Palace will not only be gutted about the defeat to Brighton during the week but also frustrated. This has left the Eagles just three points above the bottom three and with just one win from five games, the confidence will not be very high. West Ham is turning out to be a tough place to go meaning Palace will need to be at there best to get anything.

West Ham have been playing some good football of late and will be feeling confident coming into this game. Palace will give them a tough game, but not tough enough in our eyes.

● Correct score prediction: West Ham 2 – 0 Crystal Palace.
● Odds: 7/1

Chelsea vs Manchester City prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 17:30

What a game we have here for Saturday afternoon as 3rd place Chelsea welcome top of the table Manchester City to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea produced an instant response from there 3-1 defeat to Spurs by beating local rivals 2-0 during the week, but then they have beaten 2-1 away
to Wolves during the week which was there second defeat of the season. They will need to be a lot better this weekend to have a chance.

Manchester City will see this as one of the biggest games of the season. A defeat here and Liverpool will have the chance to go top, Chelsea would also close the gap to three points between the two. But a win or a draw still leaves them in good stead. Sterling and Aguero were
both rested during the week, making us think they will both be in action on Saturday.

A great game coming up between two great sides. Although there is a lot of attacking quality, we can’t see this one being too much of a goal fest because both Guardiola and Sarri like to
organise their defences well.

Correct score prediction: Chelsea 1 – 1 Man City
Odds: 5/1

Leicester vs Tottenham prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 8th December, 19:45

Leicester only managed to draw with Fulham during the week as former boss Ranieri who won the league with Leicester was able to work his magic once again to bag Fulham a point. Leicester will be looking for an instant response this weekend but will be well up against it after the result Tottenham got during the week.

Tottenham smashed managerless Southampton during the week and will see this as a good chance to do so. Harry Kane was once again on the scoresheet during the week, showing the league he is still a man very much in form and someone everyone needs to watch out for. Tottenham will know they need to win these kinds of games if they are going to finish top four.

Leicester have been playing well, but have struggled to win too many. Instead, they are drawing a lot which is good, but not as good as it could be. Tottenham will know that and will want to take full advantage.

Correct score prediction: Leicester 1 – 2 Tottenham
Odds: 14/1

Newcastle vs Wolves prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Sunday 9th December, 16:00

The last month or so has been a lot better for Newcastle and the draw away to Everton during the week shows just that. If they had this fixture in the first 8 games, they could well have been on the end of a battering but the confidence is back flowing within the squad which is seeing them pick up valuable points a lot more often.

Wolves stunned Chelsea during the week, beating them 2-1 after going behind. They will want to take that into the rest of the season to try and finish as high as they can. Before the win against Chelsea, the team were six games without a win, showing just how much of a shock it was. Another performance like that and they will have a very good chance of picking up points.

We think this could be one of the games of the weekend. Both sides coming into this one off the back of good results and scoring plenty of goals.

Correct score prediction: Newcastle 2 – 2 Wolves
Odds: 16/1

Everton vs Watford prediction

Kick-off: Week 16, Saturday 10th December, 20:00

Everton would have been frustrated with the draw at home to Newcastle during the week but will need to dust themselves down quickly if they are to get the three points this weekend. Everton are currently 8th in the Premier League, changing weekly with Manchester United. Everton have a good chance of European football next season but need to win games like these to make that happen.

Watford were beaten 2-1 to Manchester City on Tuesday night, but showed good spells in the game and scared City in the latter stages of the game, scoring in the 5th minute. It’s been a very long and tough run for Watford who have lost four of there last five games, drawing the other. Watford really need something to go there way and will be hoping that this week.

Everton come into this game on the better form and have been by far the better of the two sides throughout the campaign. Watford are struggling to get points on the board and we feel that could be the case again this weekend.

Correct score prediction: Everton 2 – 1 Watford
Odds: 11/1
