EPL week 12 predictions & tips

Cardiff vs Brighton

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 10th November, 12:30

Cardiff will be looking to really kick-start their season this weekend as they welcome inform Brighton to the Cardiff City Stadium. It has been hard for the Blue Birds since there return to the English top flight and with just five points on the board after eleven matches, it has already left them in deep trouble at this stage of the season.

Brighton will be looking to make it four wins out of five and will want to put pressure on the Cardiff back line who have been struggling all season. The big positive going into this game for Brighton is defensively they have been very sound this season and with Cardiff really struggling going forward, it could prove vital for the Seagulls.

With recent form showing who will come into this game with the most confidence makes us feel

Brighton could put Cardiff into get more trouble come half-past-two on Saturday afternoon.

  • Correct score prediction: Cardiff 0 – 1 Brighton
  • Odds: 8/1

Huddersfield vs West Ham

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 10th November, 15:00

Huddersfield enter this game off the back of their first win of the season which came at home to fellow strugglers Fulham on Monday night. They will be desperate to get back to back wins on the board this weekend which all of a sudden will make their chances of survival look a whole look greater. No doubt it’s going to be a tough season for the club, but they do show a lot of fight.

West Ham have been very hit and miss so far this season and come into this game with just one win in there last five games. This did come in there last game, however, which would have given them the confidence coming into this one. With no disrespect to Huddersfield, every team that goes there this season will expect nothing short of three points and West Ham are no different.

We can see this being a close encounter with both sides having a lot of chances but a score draw looks a likely result.

  • Correct score prediction: Huddersfield 1 – 1 West Ham
  • Odds: 6/1

Leicester City vs Burnley

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 10th November, 15:00

Leicester have had a long and hard couple of weeks since the passing of there legendary club chairman. They put their hearts and souls into their last game away at Cardiff before flying out to Thailand to attend the funeral of the former Leicester chairman. Who knows whether this would have taken its toll on the players, but they will still want nothing short of a win in this one.

Burnley have had nothing short of a shocking start after there amazing season last time around. The started this campaign in the Europa League but didn’t even manage to get to the group stages which would have come as a huge disappointment after all the hard work to get to that stage. It’s hard to see it turning around anytime soon for Burnley in current form.

Not only have Burnley been losing, but they have also been getting thumped an awful lot. Leicester will want to make sure they take full advantage of that this weekend.

  • Correct score prediction: Leicester 2 – 0 Burnley
  • Odds: 6/1

Newcastle vs Bournemouth

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 10th November, 15:00

Newcastle come into this game with no defeat in there last two which is the best run of games they have had all season. Not only that, they managed to pick up there firm win of the season at home to Watford last weekend which would have finally given them the boost they have been looking for. With another home game looming, they will be hoping to make it back to back wins.

It’s been completely different for the Cherries who come into this game with there first defeat in five games which came at home to Manchester United from a Marcus Rashford last-minute winner. It’s never good conceding late to lose a game, but it’s all about how they react this weekend and if they play as they have, they shouldn’t have any problems here.

Newcastle may have got there first win of the season last weekend, but things still aren’t right at the club and we fully expect Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth to take advantage of that.

  • Correct score prediction: Newcastle 0-1 Bournemouth
  • Odds: 8/1

Southampton Vs Watford

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 3rd November, 15:00

Things aren’t going well down on the south coast of Mark Hughes and his Southampton side who are flirting with the bottom three and struggling to score goals and win games. It’s not as if they are not having chances to score goals but with the confidence low, things just don’t seem to sit nicely for The Saints. This is a game on paper they could win, but will not be an easy match.

Watford will be frustrated after their defeat to struggling Newcastle last weekend and will want to make amends for that this time around. They will know Southampton have struggled defensively this season and will look to exploit that when this one kicks off. The likes of Troy Deeney and co will make it yet again very hard for the Saints backline.

Although Southampton do tend to stay in games, they always seem to let results slip making it hard to back a home win this weekend.

  • Correct score prediction: Southampton 1 – 2 Watford
  • Odds: 11/1

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 10th November, 17:30

Crystal Palace come into this game with five defeats and a draw from there last six games which for any club, is very poor and disappointing. It’s lucky they had a decent start otherwise they could be in serious trouble at this stage. They do have match winners in this side, though, and will be looking to cause an upset for Tottenham this weekend.

Tottenham travel to Selhurst Park which two away wins out of two with a 3-1 win away to West Ham in the cup before a 3-2 victory over Wolves last weekend. They will see this as a great chance to extend that run this weekend to keep the pressure on those teams currently above them in the league.

This is the kind of game Crystal Palace will turn up to and give Tottenham a good game but with the top four firmly in the minds of these Tottenham players, we don’t think they will make any mistakes.

  • Correct score prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 3 Tottenham
  • Odds: 14/1

Liverpool vs Fulham

Kick-off: Week 12, Sunday 11th November, 12:00

Liverpool will be looking at this fixture and knowing they have to win it to keep in touch with Chelsea and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. Really, they should be as well with the attacking threat they possess as well as there strong defensive record since the signing of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton last January.

Fulham will come into this one really struggling to find any kind of confidence after their defeat to Huddersfield on Monday night. This has left them stranded at the bottom of the Premier League table and in a lot of danger. It’s not scoring goals which is causing the major problem, it’s keeping them out the other end which has seen this fast drop.

We can’t see anything but a Liverpool win this weekend and it could easily be a thrashing for the away side.

  • Correct score prediction: Liverpool 4 – 0 Fulham
  • Odds: 8/1

Chelsea vs Everton

Kick-off: Week 12, Sunday 11th November, 14:15

Chelsea have flourished under the reign of new manager Sarri and will be hoping they can continue to put the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League this weekend. It’s four wins on the bounce for the side coming into this one and with Chelsea being just two points behind and City playing United this weekend, they could well be top of the league soon enough.

However, Everton are in town and they certainly are no pushover. They to come into this one on decent form with three wins from four. They will have to be at the top of there game if they are to cause Chelsea any problems at Stamford Bridge but Everton are known for causing an upset or two throughout the season.

Although Everton are capable of an upset, we can’t see it. Chelsea have been too strong this season and we believe they could push City all the way until the end.

  • Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2 – 0 Everton
  • Odds: 7/1

Arsenal vs Wolves

Kick-off: Week 12, Saturday 11th November, 16:30

Arsenal are now a massive fourteen games without defeat coming into this one which is only good enough to get them 5th in the Premier League. However, if they can keep that kind of form up they have every chance of getting into the top four come the end of the season. It seems as if the new manager has worked wonders for the club and could take them back to the top in years to come.

Wolves have started the season by far the best from the newly promoted sides back recent form has seen them slowly slip down the Premier League. The defeat to Tottenham last weekend made it three defeats in a row, but there were some positives to take as they fell 3-0 down and were able to get it back to 3-2. Show that same fight on Sunday and they have a chance.

Arsenal are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and have made some good signings which have fitted in well. Another win for the Gunners we think.

  • Correct score prediction: Arsenal 3 – 0 Wolves
  • Odds: 12/1

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Kick-off: Week 12, Sunday 12th November, 16:30

The last but no means least game of the weekend comes from Manchester as two big guns of the English game go head to head. Reigning Champions Manchester City have had the better recent history of the two clubs but when they had the chance to win the league against United last season, they were not able to do so showing United do have the beating of their neighbours although they did win it a week later.

Jose Mourinho’s United will no doubt set up defensively with a view to catching Manchester City out on the counter-attack. However, if they do that we think they could walk themselves into a lot of trouble because Manchester City are quick both going forward and backwards. If United are to stand a chance, they must take the game to City as they did in the second half of their game last season.

We can’t see Manchester City making the same mistakes twice against United. They are currently top of the league and will not want to give that away this weekend.

  • Correct score prediction: Manchester City 2 – 0 Manchester United
  • Odds: 8/1
