man city tottenham prediction

Manchester City v Tottenham

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 12:30

What a game we have to kick start game week 35 as reigning champions and side going for the title again, Manchester City, welcome Tottenham, who are still looking to secure a top-four finish, to the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City have been on fine form in the Premier League and will fancy themselves once again in this one, especially being the home side.

Tottenham proved a couple of weeks ago they can beat this Manchester City side and will be desperate to get something from this one. With Harry Kane out, they will need to try and find goals from elsewhere if they are going to give the solid defence at Manchester City any problems.

With so much riding on this game for Manchester City, we expect them to have enough to get all three points.

  • Correct score prediction: Manchester City 2 – 0 Tottenham
  • Odds: 9/1

Bournemouth v Fulham

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 15:00

Bournemouth come into this one off the back of a huge win as they smashed Brighton 5-0 away from home which all but secured there status in the Premier League for another season. They will be hoping to have a solid finish to the campaign to give themselves something to build on going into next season.

Fulham know they will be playing Championship football next season but that didn’t stop them bagging a shock win over Everton on the weekend which has sent the message across England that they could have had a better season if they had the right man in charge. They’ll be hoping to get another few good results on the board to go into next season feeling positive.

We can see this being a close game but with the home side getting the edge.

  • Correct score prediction: Bournemouth 1 – 0 Fulham
  • Odds: 7/1

Huddersfield v Watford

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 15:00

Huddersfield are another side who know they will be playing Championship football next season and have been unable to get a good run of results together all season. They will do well to get many more points from now until the end of the season but with the new man in charge, they could well make a push next season to bounce straight back.

Watford have everything to play for still at this stage of the season with a 7th place finish and European football in their sight. If they are to make that dream a reality, they must go out and win games like these and we think they’ll do just that, even if they are without there captain Troy Deeney after his red card against Arsenal last time out.

We can only see one winner in this one and that’s the away team.

  • Correct score prediction: Huddersfield 0 – 2 Watford
  • Odds: 10/1

West Ham v Leicester

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 15:00

Hopes of West Ham getting a top 7 finish now looks a long way away, but it is still possible and if they are to do it, there is no question that they have to take maximum points from this game. On there day West Ham can challenge the very best, but unfortunately, consistency has let them down throughout the campaign.

Leicester have really picked up since Brendan Rogers was announced as the new manager of the club and now find themselves in 7th place and in with a huge change of getting European football next season. Jamie Vardy looks as if he is playing with a lot of confidence again which is a worrying sign for opponents.

We can see this one being a close game between two solid sides in the Premier League. But with the form Leicester are in, we can see them going home with a point.

  • Correct score prediction: West Ham 1 – 1 Leicester
  • Odds: 9/1

Wolves v Brighton

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 15:00

Wolves will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing afternoon down on the south coast as they were beaten 3-1 to Southampton. This slightly dented there chances of European football next season but with it still a possibility, they will know they have to go out and win this one to stop the sides around them catching or getting further away from them.

Brighton have really struggled of late and still find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. The 5-0 defeat to Bournemouth at home a couple of games ago really showed where this side are at and although they will probably have enough to stay up this season, they need changes if they are to keep avoiding relegation.

With Wolves still chasing a 7th place finish, we can’t see them slipping up in this one.

  • Correct score prediction: Wolves 2 – 0 Brighton
  • Odds: 9/1

Newcastle v Southampton

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 20th April, 17:30

Both of these sides look as if they will remain in the Premier League next season but another win for either side in this one will all but secure it for good. With Newcastle being the home side, they will fancy themselves to get all three points but they must not underestimate The Saints with the form they are in.

Southampton made it 6 wins in 2019 on Saturday which is already more than they managed in the whole of 2018 which is a huge achievement for the club. Ralph Hassenhutl looks as if he really has the players behind him and with the quality they have, they could push on again in seasons to come.

A tough one to call this with both teams hitting good form at the right time of the season but we will go for a score draw.

  • Correct score prediction: Newcastle 1 – 1 Southampton
  • Odds: 8/1

Everton v Manchester United

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 21st April, 13:30

Everton would have been left extremely disappointed after losing 2-0 on the road to already relegated Fulham on the weekend which has made there mission for the top 7 look a lot harder, especially with this game with United coming up. However, recent form has been so much better from the side who are showing glimpses of what they can do and what we expect in seasons to come.

Manchester United are in a tightly contested battle for the fourth position which will be decided in games like this. If they are to see offsides like Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea they must win this game. Without a doubt, on their day they have enough quality to win it but with the trip to Barcelona during the week, the players could be fatigued.

Everton will want to bounce back from the defeat to Fulham last time out but we think United will have enough to take all three points.

  • Correct score prediction: Everton 1 – 2 Manchester United
  • Odds: 12/1

Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 21st April, 16:00

Just like United, Arsenal are in the battle for fourth and will see this one as a must win. With one of the best home forms in the league this season, we expect Arsenal to have much of the ball in the game and get all three points. Players like Ramsey, Aubameyang and co have started to look sharp again which could be the difference in the one.

Crystal Palace look as if they are safe and will play the rest of the season to get ready for next. They have already caused a few upsets this season, with the biggest coming at the Etihad as they beat Manchester City. This shows they are not scared to take the games to other sides, even on the biggest of occasions.

With the home form, Arsenal have this season, we expect them to dominate this one and get all three points come to the end of the 90 minutes

  • Correct score prediction: Arsenal 3 – 0 Crystal Palace
  • Odds: 16/1

Cardiff v Liverpool

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 21st April, 16:00

Cardiff will know they will have to play the game of there lives if they are to get anything from this game. It has not been the season Neil Warnock would have wanted with the side not far off being the last team relegated back down to the Championship. A defeat here could be enough to make relegation a fact.

Liverpool will go into this game knowing that if they go on to slip up and drop points, it could be enough to see them lose out on the Premier League title for another season which would hit them hard after pushing Manchester City very hard. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and co will see this as a good chance to get some goals under there belts and help the side to another important three points.

We can’t see Liverpool slipping up here. Cardiff have been below par for much of the season whereas Liverpool have been outstanding.

  • Correct score prediction: Cardiff 0 – 4 Liverpool
  • Odds: 16/1

Chelsea v Burnley

Kick-off: Week 35, Saturday 22nd April, 20:00

Matchweek 35 ends with a trip to Stamford Bridge as Burnley travel to London to take on Chelsea. Chelsea are another side who are scrapping it out to finish in the top four and secure a Champions League spot. They will fancy themselves in this one and there is no reason why they shouldn’t with the amount of quality they have within the squad.

Burnley all but secured there safety last weekend as they beat Cardiff 2-0 at home to move them 11 points clear of the bottom three. This is more of a free hit for them and another point in there reaming 4 matches will definitely mean they will be a Premier League side for another season.

Chelsea have a lot more to play for now and we think that will prove important in this fixture.

  • Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2 – 0 Burnley
  • Odds: 8/1
