EPL week 15 tips & predictions

Burnley vs Liverpool

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 19:45

Not many would have seen this coming with Burnley after bagging a Europa League playoff spot last season but Sean Dyches side are currently second bottom in the league, with just two wins to their name. Not only that, the club have been losing games to teams such as Crystal Palace and Newcastle who are down there with them. It may be early to say it, but this Burnley side look in trouble.

Liverpool certainly don’t look in trouble and after the 96th-minute winner against rivals Everton on Sunday evening they are still just two points behind Manchester City at this stage. It was a frustrating afternoon for the reds with Everton holding strong and attacking them hard which not many teams have done to them this season. Although the goal wasn’t pretty, it was enough to give them the three points and keep in touching distance of Man City.

Only one winner for us in this game. Burnley have really been struggling and at this stage, we are thinking they could be one of the sides relegated at the end of the season. Liverpool, on the other hand, have been outstanding and will not make any mistakes this week.

Correct score prediction: Burnley 0 – 3 Liverpool
Odds: 7/1

Everton vs Newcastle

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 19:45

Everton suffered heartbreak last time out away to Liverpool as they conceded a 96th-minute goal to go home with nothing after an incredible display over the cause of the match. It was Jordan Pickford to blame who could have let is go for a corner, but instead tried to catch the ball
which led to a goal late on. There are a lot of positives Everton can take from that game and throughout the season. This team could definitely challenge for a Europa League spot.

Newcastle managed to put together three straight wins before the defeat to West Ham last time
out which brought them back down to reality. In truth, they were completely outplayed and outclassed by the Hammers on the day which would have put doubt into the players and managers minds after the three wins prior.

Out of these two, Everton have been by far the better team this season both defensively andgoing forward. Newcastle, on the other hand, have been pretty poor in whole but will be feeling better about themselves with recent form.

Correct score prediction: Everton 2 – 0 Newcastle
Odds: 10/1

Fulham vs Leicester

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 19:45

Fulham were beaten 2-0 last time out as they travelled to local rivals Chelsea. However, in that game, they showed good spells and at times put Chelsea under a lot of pressure. They will know that the game was a right off anyway and if they were to get anything it would be a bonus.
The win over Southampton the week before would have been a massive confidence builder. They need to take that kind of attitude into this one.

Leicester haven’t lost in five Premier League games coming into this one which has lifted them up to eighth. They find themselves just one point behind Manchester United at this stage of the season and will know if they are to challenge them and the likes of Everton for a spot in Europe next season, they have to go out and win games like these.

Fulham have been playing well of late but Leicester have not established themselves as a very good Premier League team and we think that experience will be enough to win them the game.

Correct score prediction: Fulham 0 – 1 Leicester
Odds: 5/1

Wolves vs Chelsea

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 19:45

Wolves have not been unable to win in six games, losing five times in that time. That has only seen them slip down to 12th in the league and seven points above the relegation zone. Although this is still a big gap, that will soon be closed if they keep failing to win matches. They
will go into this one knowing they are the underdogs and anything they can get would be a bonus.

Chelsea were not all that last time out in the local derby with Fulham but still did enough to score two goals and win the match. Bar the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham a couple of weeks ago, Chelsea haven’t been beaten and certainly haven’t been struggling in games against the bottom
half clubs. The worrying thing for opponents is when Eden Hazard is on form, he can win a game on his own.

There’s no doubt in our minds that Chelsea will win this game and take home all three points but we struggle to see it being an easy evening for the side. Wolves tend to play well at home, even when they are not picking up the points and against a big team, they will be well up for it.

Correct score prediction: Wolves 1 – 3 Chelsea
Odds: 14/1

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 19:45

Manchester United were close to losing yet another game against a side in the bottom half of the table. If it wasn’t for a bright 10-minute spell at the end of the first half against Southampton, they may have not picked up the point they got. Everything just seems and looks flat around the club at the moment with big players such as Pogba, Lukaku and Rashford all failing to perform.

Arsenal are starting to look like the team from years ago. They are good to watch, scoring lots of goals and winning games regularly. They come into this game having not seen defeat in eighteen games which is an outstanding run. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is a bright spark for
this Arsenal team. His pace, power and incredible finishing has proved the difference on many
occasions this season.

When two big teams go head to head you can be sure for a good game. We are backing Arsenal to bag a famous victory away to Manchester United this week and the reason is simple. They are playing a lot better this season and actually look like a side who can compete in
seasons to come.

Correct score prediction: Man United 1 – 2 Arsenal
Odds: 16/1

Tottenham vs Southampton

Kick-off: Week 15, Tuesday 5th December, 20:00

Tottenham will be looking for an instant response after there 4-2 defeat away to bitter rivals Arsenal on Sunday. They started the game very slow but just before halftime managed to turn the game around and make it 2-1 going to the break. However, the changes Arsenal made had
a huge impact which eventually won them the game. A lot of credit has to go to the manager.

Southampton played arguably there best 90 minutes of the season last time out at home to Manchester United, but for them to throw away a two-goal lead to draw the game would have still been so frustrating for everyone associated with the club. Mark Hughes will still feel his job
is under pressure meaning they at least need to show a bit of fight in the match.

Southampton will be desperate to cause an upset this week with the south coast outfit currently in the bottom three. However, we think the class of Tottenham will shine through and be
enough.

Correct score prediction: Tottenham 3 – 1 Southampton
Odds: 10/1
