Date and time: October 11, 5pm
England and Belgium meet at Wembley in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday evening. It’ll be a really interesting clash and one that Gareth Southgate’s men should hope to win if they are to keep their hopes of going one better than reaching last year’s final.
The Three Lions should be able to welcome back Jadon Sancho and Tammy Abraham into the squad after they sat out the win over Wales for breaching coronavirus laws. Ben Chillwell is unwell, and Raheem Sterling pulled out injured.
Harry Kane will be back in the side, but Southgate has difficult decisions to make up front. Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Ings scored against Wales. England may not have conceded in four games, but Belgium beat them twice at the 2018 World Cup.
Given that England have averaged over 3 goals per game in their last six, and Belgium have almost matched them, over 2.5 goals seems a good bet here.
Who are the favourites for this game?
With Bet365, both England and Belgium are worth a bet in this one. You can get 7/4 on the hosts to win or 29/20 with Belgium.
What other markets are worth a look?
Definitely goalscorers. There could be so much attacking talent on the pitch. Kane and Romelu Lukaku, who sat out Belgium’s 1-1 draw with Ivory Coast on Thursday, are both worth a look. Both are at 13/10 with Bet365.
We also like the look of draw HT/Belgium FT at 5/1 with Bet365. It’ll surely be a tight game, with a winning margin either way a possibility.
England are at 15/4 to win by a goal; Belgium are 3/1. Both with Bet365.
