Manchester United vs Cambridge United
The reward for the U’s inspired performance in their home tie against Manchester United is a trip to the Theatre of Dreams. It’s been an incredible FA Cup run for Cambridge this season but sadly I can’t see them pulling off what would be one of the greatest ever cup shocks. Michael Carrick is out of this replay having ruptured a muscle in his calf but Van Gaal is expected to name a strong line-up nonetheless against the League 2 minnows.
Bolton Wanderers vs Liverpool
Liverpool’s 0-0 draw against Bolton seemed like a good result on a day where the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City suffered humiliating eliminations against two football league sides. Bolton will take confidence from this and the experience of Eidur Gudjohnson and Emile Heskey will be key to settle the nerves of the championship side. Liverpool look like a force to be reckoned with at the moment, as their star men are finally performing to a level that must please Brendan Rodgers. Daniel Sturridge took no time to score his first goal upon return and his inclusion in the squad will make a huge difference. I expect Liverpool to dominate possession and take advantage of Bolton who will have to be more attacking in front of their home crowd.
