Almeria vs Barcelona
Almeria host European heavyweights Barcelona following a 2-1 defeat to Levante. Barcelona surrendered top spot to bitter rivals Real Madrid after Celta Vigo stunned the Catalan side with a 1-0 win at the Nou Camp. Luis Suarez has disrupted the flow of Barcelona’s play and they have been struggling since his ban ended on the 26th October. Barcelona might struggle due to fatigue after returning from a Champions League win in Holland, and Almeria must look to capitalise. Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano
Real Madrid look unstoppable at the moment. Carlo Ancelotti deserves credit after recovering from their early season poor form, and rightfully returned to the top of the table after Celta Vigo emerged victorious at the Nou Camp. Tactically, Rayo Vallecano must be faultless and Paco, must manage his side with great caution. Real Madrid will look to add to their outrageous goal tally against a side who have a poor defensive record so far. I expect Real Madrid to resume their scintillating form and provide us with another victory full of goals.

Real Sociedad vs Atletico Madrid
Real Sociedad’s victory against Real Madrid was the one highlight of their miserable season so far. The club have just confirmed talks with David Moyes, who will be tasked with dragging the side out of the unenviable relegation places and push up towards a more respectable points tally. Atletico Madrid continued their decent form with a midweek victory against Malmo and will keep putting pressure on their arch rivals who lead the way by just 1 point. I expect Atletico Madrid to be too strong for the troubled side and come out on top.

I expect Valencia to keep things interesting and narrowly overcome a Valverde’s well-organised side.

Eintracht Frankfurt Vs Bayern Munich
The Bavarian army continued marching through Europe in midweek after easing past Roma 2-0 in the Champions League. Frank Ribery and Mario Gotze got the goals for the Pep Guardiola’s men in front of 75,000 adoring fans, who will be confident of more success against lowly Frankfurt. A victory for the champions at the Commerzbank-Arena could move them as far as 7 points clear at the top of the table, a lead which even at this early stage of the season is looking unassailable.

Borussia Dortmund Vs Borussia Monchengladbach
High flying Monchengladbach take on lowly Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park in Sunday’s late kick-off. Before the start of the season many were expecting Dortmund to contest for the title along with Bayern, but a losing run of 5 consecutive games in the Bundesliga has left Der BVB languishing in 17th position and pressure is starting to mount on the previously untouchable Jurgen Klopp. One positive for the Yellows however has been their fine form in the Champions league and Klopp will be desperate for his charges to carry their momentum into the league.

Paris Saint Germain Vs Marseille
Parc des Princes is the venue for the big game of the weekend in Ligue 1 as the champions, PSG, take on leaders Marseille. The club from the capital had an indifferent start to the season but have now hit top form with 5 wins on the bounce, despite the absence of the influential Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
