Monaco vs PSG
PSG travel to Monaco on Wednesday night for the second time in three days, after the two sides played out a goalless draw at the Stade Louis II. That meant the visitors missed the opportunity to take sole leadership of Ligue 1 and yet again struggled in front of goal without the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, with the Swedish talisman returning to action on Wednesday, I’m anticipating a few more goals this time out. With expectations in the capital sky high, PSG will be expected to win this competition leaving no room for error. I’m backing PSG to qualify, however only after extra time.
Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Braunschweig
Wednesday night could turn into a very long night indeed for the visitors as they travel to the Allianz Arena for this DFB Cup fixture. Bayern Munich are in imperious form and this game will be an attacking exercise for the Bavarian giants. Even though pep Guardiola is likely to rotate his squad I’m anticipating a very one sided game with the visitors setting up to limit the damage. Bayern to win to nil and Bayern to win both halves are the bets I would recommend here
Villarreal vs Barcelona
Barcelona have the luxury of travelling to the Estadio del Madrigal with a 2 goal advantage. Naturally, there is always a risk of complacency effecting their side with Villarreal throwing everything at them early on. However, this side boasts an array of stars who have won everything in football and they will know what it takes to go there and perform to the required standards. I am hoping that Villarreal get an early goal, which will put some pressure on the Catalan giants, however, I cannot see anything other than Barcelona in the final.
