PSG vs Evian Thonon Gaillard
PSG suffered a humiliating defeat at lowly Bastia last weekend which means they have now slipped to 4th in the table. Of greater concern to Laurent Blanc will be the manner of their defeat, after taking a two goal lead. One positive however, is they are only 4 points of Marseille first place and if the Parisiens can get Ibrahimovic and Cavani amongst the goals again they will find themselves back in the title race in no time. Evian held PSG to a draw the last time these two sides met but I’m expecting a rampant home performance this time round.

Marseille vs Guingamp
Marseille missed a golden opportunity to take sole leadership of Ligue 1 after succumbing to a 2-1 loss in a tricky away trip to Montpellier. I’m expecting no surprises this week for Bielsa’s boys and backing them for victory over a Guingamp side that lie 13th in the table

Lens vs Lyon
Lyon seem to have come from nowhere to leapfrog their rivals and take control of Ligue 1. A marvellous performance from the in-demand Alexandre Lacazette, who bagged a brace, secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Toulouse last Saturday. Lens have endured a miserable campaign and have the 2nd worst home record in the league. For that reason I’m backing Lyon to remain at the summit of the league for at least another week.

Getafe vs Real Madrid
Real Madrid got back to winning ways against Espanyol, however this was overshadowed by some unwarranted criticism of Gareth Bale. Ronaldo has since defended him and the feud between them is nothing more than speculation. Getafe have not won any of their last 8 games, which doesn’t bode well against the current league leaders. Ronaldo will be on top form after being crowned the best player on the planet and I expect him to guide his team to victory, with a little help from Gareth Bale.
Prediction 0-3

Atletico Madrid vs Granada
Diego Simeone has worked wonders at Atletico Madrid, however last week suggested that the old domination by Barcelona and Real Madrid will return come the end of the season. Although only three points off Barcelona, last week will be a major blow as these are the games where titles are won and lost. I do not expect Atletico Madrid to give up and they will still believe they can go all the way. Granada have a very slim chance of gaining anything from this fixture and I expect Atletico Madrid to pile on the misery for the relegation candidates.
Prediction 2-0

Deportivo vs Barcelona
Deportivo are edging worrying near the bottom, however 4 points in their last 6 will inject some much needed belief in the dressing room. The combination of Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez looked a handful against arguably the most organised side in the league, so I can only imagine the damage they can cause Deportivo’s volatile defence. Credit to the Barcelona players, who have let their football do the talking following a turbulent week at the club, especially with strong rumours suggesting the imminent departure of Lionel Messi. I expect Barcelona to run riot, and keep up the pressure at the top.
