Augsburg vs Bayern Munich
Bayern continued their impressive winning run in midweek as they easily disposed of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, with Mueller, Goetze and Rode all on the scoresheet. On Saturday the champions visit high-flying Augsburg, who sit in 3rd position in the Bundesliga. The hosts have won five of their six home games this season but I don’t fancy them taking anything out of this game. Each week I analyse Dortmund it shocks me to see them languishing so far down the league table. They possess too much quality to be involved in a relegation dog fight but I feel they may have finally turned a corner. They secured a crucial victory over Hoffenheim last weekend as well as top spot in their Champions League group on Tuesday night and perhaps belief is slowly returning to the Westfalenstadio. Despite their woes Klopp’s mean are just five points of 4th place and with another win on Saturday the Yellows may still be able to enjoy a good Christmas after all!
