Malaga vs Real Madrid
It seems as though Real Madrid are playing FIFA on amateur mode in La liga. Nobody seems to be able to match their pace and power, resulting in some staggering score lines over the last ten games. Ancelotti’s men, led by the inspirational Cristiano Ronaldo, take on a team in good form but I do not believe they can match the quality of the Galacticos. Malaga sit comfortably in 6th place and each player must be inch-perfect if they aim to gain even a point in this fixture. Valencia vs Barcelona
Valencia have been a joy to watch in La Liga, matching the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the table. However, the last two games have been a reality check which prove how difficult it is to maintain the form to keep up with the typical dominant forces in La Liga. Barcelona recovered from a shocking loss against Celta Vigo a few weeks ago, most recently smashing a strong Sevilla side 5-1. Lionel Messi, the newly crowned highest ever goal scorer of La Liga, continued his fine form with a mid-week hat trick and will be relishing the chance to get back into the action in such an important clash. I’m expecting Valencia to be a strong opponent for the Catalans, however Messi and co will see the game through.

Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo
Spirits will be high in the capital, Atletico Madrid looked to have topped their Champions League group, proving they were no one season wonder last campaign. I feel Atletico will do well this season, however will come up short against their rejuvenated rivals. There is no room for error at the top of La Liga, and losses against the likes of Real Sociedad a couple of seasons ago will prove crucial. Deportivo can’t seem to win a game at the moment, having played out a bore draw against Real Sociedad last week. Deportivo have got themselves into a relegation fight early on in the season, and I expect Atletico Madrid to pile on the misery.

Real Sociedad vs Elche
Moyes’ men were unimpressive in his first managerial outing in Spain. However, it would be foolish to judge his impact so swiftly. Moyes will be eyeing his first win against a side who sit below them in the table, and this game could not come at a more perfect time for Moyes. Having said that, I gather that he will be feeling the pressure following his poor managerial experience at Manchester United. Therefore, a solid start could make or break his new experience. Moyes would have had sufficient time to get his message across to his players and they will be confident of returning to the standards they once knew. I’m expecting Real Sociedad to come out on top, with a goal coming in each half.

PSG vs Nice
PSG have overcome their early season poor form. They have won 6 on the trot, including a comfortable 2-0 win against league leaders Marseille. PSG must be confident that Marseille will falter at some stage in the season, and Blanc’s men will be waiting for their moment to return to where they feel they should be, at the top of the table. Nice’s indifferent form will encourage PSG, Blanc will refresh his side to ensure that no mid-week fatigue effects what should be a routine win in Paris.

Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich
Pep Guardiola’s job at Bayern Munich must not be underestimated. There is an obvious divide in terms of class between them and the rest of Bundesliga, however, Guardiola must ensure that his side do not let complacency get the better of them. Their recent wins in the league show that they show no signs of taking their foot off the pedal, and will try and better their points tally of last season. For this reason, I do not expect Hertha Berlin to have the defensive discipline to hold Bayern for 90 minutes, and we might see a few goals from the champions if they are on top of their game.
