Spurs somehow managed to salvage a draw at home to West Ham at the weekend despite trailing 2-0 until the 84th minute. The Lillywhites looked devoid of ideas and fatigue undoubtedly played a part in their poor performance. These next two games against La Viola and Chelsea in the Cup final could make or break their season and the players will certainly know that. Spurs will have to put thoughts of their trip to Wembley on hold when they travel to Florence as they now need a result at the Artemio Franchi having drawn 1-1 at the Lane. Despite that result Spurs outplayed the Italians for much of the game and I’m backing Spurs to qualify on Thursday, even if Fiorentina appear to be the bookies’ favourites.
