Asteras Tripolis vs Tottenham Hotspur
After ending their long, winless run in the league on Sunday Spurs go into this game hoping to build up some momentum. The Lilywhites thumped their Greek opponents 5-1 in the reverse fixture at the Lane and will be confident of more success on Thursday night. Pocchetino will once again make wholesale changes to his starting line-up but one man who is guaranteed to start is top scorer Harry Kane, who has scored 4 goals in just 3 starts in this competition. I’m going for a Spurs win at the New Asteras Tripolis Stadium but it will be a lot closer than the previous encounter at White Hart Lane.
Everton vs Lille
Everton can make a huge step towards the knock-out stages with a victory over Lille at Goodison Park. The Merseysiders top Group F have taken 5 points from their opening 3 games but will need to improve significantly after they laboured to a goalless draw against Swansea at the weekend. Romelu Lukaku was dropped for that game following a string of poor performances this season but is likely to the line-up on Thursday night and I’m backing him to answer his critics with a goal.
Prediction 2-0 – Back Everton to win and Lukaku to score NOW!
