Uruguay Vs Paraguay

This is Group B’s do or die match as both sides look to advance into the quarter finals. A draw is not enough for Uruguay who are at risk of early elimination despite being the current Copa America holders. Paraguay have done well to get this far, coming back from two goals down to hold Argentina in their opening game and comfortably beating Jamaica a few days ago. You can expect a high tempo encounter with Uruguay firing on all cylinders upfront and Paraguay perhaps striking on the counter. I am backing a score draw.

Prediction 1-1

Argentina Vs Jamaica

Despite a number of lackluster performances Argentina remain favorites to top their group. The Albiceleste have failed to produce the kind of performances expected from their star studded line-up. Jamaica need a miracle to qualify into the next round however will leave this tournament proving that they are no pushovers considering they played two of world football’s strongest sides in Argentina and Uruguay. I predict Argentina to win in style!

Prediction 3-0

Colombia Vs Peru

Group C is perfectly balanced as we go into the final round of group games. Colombia did well to bounce back following their opening defeat against Venezuela to play the perfect game and frustrate heavyweights Brazil. Peru will be equally pleased with their 1-0 over ten-men Venezuela, courtesy of a strike from veteran front-man Claudio Pizarro, late in the second half, to keep their qualification hopes alive. I am backing Colombia to keep their nerve and win this, to go through to the quarters.

Prediction 2-0

Brazil Vs Venezuela

Brazil were left huffing and puffing on Wednesday night as they failed to make their chances count and failed to break down an organised Colombia side. To make matters worse, the Selecao will be without super-star Neymar after he was sent off for some silly behavior after the final whistle was blown. Venezuela might fancy their chances of pulling off a surprise over this struggling Brazil side. I am backing Dunga’s more experienced side to win this.

Prediction 2-0
