Peru Vs Paraguay
Despite playing for over 70 minutes with ten men, Peru gave Chile a hell of a fight and were only downed by a Vargas wonder strike. Paraguay have relied on organised, solid football to get them this far, however they stood little chance against a rejuvenated Argentina side who knocked six goals past their hapless opponents. These sides are undoubtedly surprise packages of this tournament and will both fancy their chances on Saturday go bring home the bronze medal. I do not expect many goals, however you can be sure it will be a hard fought encounter between these two determined squads.
Chile Vs Argentina
Even though Chile were the better side on Monday night, they failed to really make their extra man count and had to rely on a superb performance from Vargas who notched home a double. That being said, Chile have been extremely consistent these past two weeks and have are forutnate to boast the likes of Sanchez, Vidal and Medel among their ranks.
Argentina roared to a superb victory on Tuesday night and finally produced a performance which most football fans around the world have been waiting for these past few weeks. Their 6-1 drubbing over Paraguay, who just two weeks ago held out for a 2-2 in the group stages, will send the Albiceleste side brimming with confidence as this golden generation of stars look to secure their first silverware on the national stage.
Unlike the earlier fixture, I predict an enticing game, with plenty of goals and mouth watering football between these two sides who both love to attack. I am backing Messi and co to win this.
