Deja vu in Paris as PSG are looking for revenge against Chelsea who dramatically knocked them out of last year’s competition. Whilst it could be argued that last year Chelsea were slight underdogs, the likes of Costa and Fabregas have pushed Chelsea to the next level. PSG have struggled this season, and Blanc is under big pressure to improve his side’s European record, having already secured a league title last campaign. It is a tough match to call, but I will find it hard to bet against Mourinho’s blend of quality and organisation. I’m expecting a tight encounter where Chelsea grab an early goal, with PSG breaking down a stubborn Chelsea defence to claim a later equaliser.

Shakhtar vs Bayern Munich
There is no doubting that Bayern Munich are the dominant force in Germany. Pep Guardiola must win the Champions League if he wishes to be remembered as a true success as their manager. Schalke vs Real Madrid
Less than two months ago Real Madrid were being described as ‘unstoppable’ and the ‘best team in the world’ but an indifferent start to 2014 has seen them face a barrage of boos from their own fans. Basel really impressed me when they faced Liverpool in the group stages, they were disciplined and looked dangerous on the break.
