Arsenal vs Monaco
Arsenal have made it a bit of a habit of finishing the season on a high and this year appears to be no different. The Gunners are in fine form and have won 8 of their 9 previous games, with their only defeat coming against North London rivals Spurs. Even more encouraging for Arsene Wenger is that their goals have come from a number of different players, with Giroud, Sanchez, Cazorla, and Walcott all on the score sheet of late. Monaco are also enjoying a positive start to 2015 but I feel this will be an extremely tough game for them. I’m backing Arsenal’s quality to prevail and secure a comfortable victory.

Manchester City vs Barcelona
Arguably the biggest clash of the last-16 sees English champions Manchester City take on four times winners Barcelona. These sides enjoyed contrasting fortunes at the weekend with the Blues hammering Newcastle 5-0 at the Etihad whilst Barca suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Malaga, leaving them four points adrift of leaders Real Madrid. Pellegrini’s charges looked a rejuvenated team with Yaya Toure back in the starting line up, who will be keen to impress against his former employers but new boy Wilfried Bony may well have to settle for a place on the bench with Pellegrini often adopting a five man midfield in this competition. City will take confidence from Malaga who kept the trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar at bay.

Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund
The Italian champions boast a nine point lead at the top of the Seria A but that is largely down to Roma’s inability to win a game at the moment. Juve, despite defeating Atalanta on Friday night, haven’t looked at their best of late and also drew at relegation threatened Cesena last weekend. Meanwhile, Dortmund come into this came on the back of two consecutive victories for the first time this season. Those wins have propelled the Germans into 12th position, after flirting with relegation for much of the season. I can’t separate these two sides and for that reason I’m going for a draw.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Atletico Madrid
Last season’s runners up travel to Leverkusen in search of only their second away win of 2015. Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid have enjoyed mixed fortunes recently, who followed up their humiliation of rivals Real Madrid with a loss at lowly Celta Vigo. This is, in part, due to injuries to key players namely Koke and Arda Turan, however, the latter is expected to feature on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Leverkusen are experiencing somewhat of a slump and extended their winless run to three matches on Saturday. Omer Toprak is suspended for this clash meaning Emir Spahic will partner Kyriakos Papadopoulos at the heart of the defence and after his goal at the weekend Josip Drmic is likely to spearhead the Germans’ attack.
