Real Madrid vs Liverpool
These two great sides of European football share 15 Champions League trophies between them but go into this game in very contrasting fashion. The reigning European champions have are absolutely flying at the moment winning eleven games on the trot, whilst the Reds suffered yet another miserable defeat at the weekend, already their 4th Premier League defeat this season.
Gareth Bale has not played since 5th October but could return to the starting line-up alongside the irrepressible Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 17 goals in his opening 10 games this season.
Liverpool’s defending has been Sunday league like at times this season and I’m anticipating a goal fest at the Bernabeu.

Juventus vs Olympiakos
The Old Lady have won 8 of their 10 Seria A games this season but are once again struggling amongst Europe’s elite. Their difficulties up front were not only evidenced in their first game against Olympiakos but also in their league matches against Sassuolo and Genoa. If the Bianconeri are to get the 3 points they so desperately need to advance from the group stages, they will need to somehow find a way past Roberto, who was outstanding their the previous match. Carlos Tevez is in line to return to the starting line-up at the Juventus Stadium on Tuesday alongside the in-form Alvaro Morata, who is likely to keep his place following his goalscoring exploits against Empoli.
Prediction 2-0 – Back Tevez to score and Juventus to win now!

Arsenal vs Anderlecht
Arsene Wenger’s troops entertain Anderlecht at the Emirates on Tuesday in what is likely to be a very one sided affair. Despite the different in class between these two team, the North Londoners needed two very late goals to overturn a 1-0 deficit in Belgium 3 weeks ago. Alexis Sanchez is in red hot form for the Gunners with 5 goals in his last 3 Premier League games, whilst Theo Walcott is also likely to start following almost a year on the sidelines.

Bayern Munich vs Roma
In the reverse fixture at the Olimpico Bayern ran riot, smashing a whopping seven goals past the Romans but I expect a much closer game this time round. The Bavarians are cruising in the Bundesliga but the Champions League will undoubtedly be a priority for Pep Guardiola’s men following their humiliating exit at the hands of Real Madrid last season. The Giallorossi are experiencing a little dip in form at the moment with just 1 win in their last 4 games but they will be eager to avenge their embarrassing defeat in their own backyard. I’m predicting a narrow home win.

Manchester City vs CSKA Moscow
Goals from James Milner and Sergio Aguero looked like sealing a crucial away win in Moscow for the Blues but a lapse of concentration allowed the Russians to snatch a late point. That result now means that this is a must win game for City who will be hoping for a favour from Bayern against Roma. City however, have the wind in their sails following their derby win against rivals Manchester United and I personally can’t see anything other than a comfortable win for Aguero and Co at the Etihad on Wednesday.

Maribor vs Chelsea
Chelsea have made an impressive start to the season on the pitch but it appears Mourinho is less than happy with their fans’ support. The Blues’ manager was critical of the lack of vocal support against QPR at the weekend but I can’t say many Chelsea fans making the trip to Slovenia. Chelsea legend Didier Drogba will return to the starting XI and will be looking to add to his tally of 3 goals in the last 14 days. With Schalke lying just 2 points behind the Blue army, Mourinho will be keen to ensure his troops do a professional job in Eastern Europe.
