Arsenal vs Montpellier
Arsenal came back from behind on the weekend to trounce North London Spurs 5-2. Montpellier’s form this season has been extremely poor and currently sit 15th in the Ligue 1 standings. With Arsenal needing three points to be almost sure of qualification I cannot see anything but a win for the Gunners.
Manchester City vs Real Madrid
Manchester City put on an emphatic display at home to trash Villa to climb to the top of the Premier League, while Real’s La Liga form has also been very positive, however sit in third place following a very poor start. With City almost certainly out and playing for pride (and perhaps a Europa League spot) and Real Madrid in need of points to secure their place in the next round, I predict a score draw.
Juventus vs Chelsea
Juventus were held at home to Lazio on Saturday afternoon, in a game which they were undone by the goal keeping heroics of Marchetti. Chelsea succumbed to a defeat in their last Premier League outing and Di Matteo knows that if they could leave Turin with a point they will almost certainly qualify. With Juve struggling to find goals at the moment, I predict a draw.
Valencia vs Bayern Munich
Valencia currently sit joint top of their group with their Bavarian rivals Bayern Munich. With Bate so close behind, both teams will be eying all three points to secure qualification, however, Valencia at the Mestalla are very hard to crack even with the German’s excellent fire power upfront, I predict a draw.
Galatasaray vs Manchester United
The Red Devils left it late to come back and beat Braga in their 4th Champions League fixture and were extremely poor on the weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by Norwich. United have already qualified to the next round and I predict Sir Alex will take this opportunity to rest some of his stars. Galatasaray may sense complacency within the United ranks and see this as chance to pull off a historic victory.
