Liverpool vs Hoffenheim
Liverpool have a good result coming into this game having scored 2 away goals. In our minds, they’re going to lay back and let Hoffenheim come at them and use the counter attack to perhaps finish their opponents off. Hoffenheim need two away goals and thinking that a weaker side like Watford managed to put 3 past Liverpool 2 weeks ago, then they know this is not over.
Both teams to score @ 1.66
Over 10 corners @ 1.83
No correct score for this one (tough call !)
Card before 28:00 @ 1.83
FC Copenhagen vs FC Qarabag
This one is wide open. A narrow and efficient 1-0 for Qarabag in the first leg puts them a step infront in this fixture. FC Copenhagen though are strong at home and they will definitely get 1 goal. The problem for Copenhagen is they will need 3 goals if Qarabag manage 1. Then it becomes tricky. It will be a hard fought match.
Over 2.5 goals @ 2.30
Over 9 corners @ 1.72
Card before 27:00 @ 1.83
Crunch time in the UEFA Champions League
Nice vs Napoli
Both teams managed nice wins at the weekend and Nice have recovered some key players like Balotelli. Sneijder will also participate in this one. Not all is done for Napoli and they must be able to keep cool even if they concede (which we think they will). Nice will have the win or go home mentality and that usually means a fast flowing game with some volatility
Both teams to score @ 1.66
Over 10 corners @ 2.00
Risky one –> Over 1.5 first half goals @ 2.40
NK Maribor vs Hapoel Beer Sheva
NK’s away goal means it’s game on here in Slovenia. It will not be an easy fixture for both as they are two very well balanced teams. This will be a hard fought battle and perhaps a hostile crowd too (not violent). The money stakes here are enormous as there is a Group stage place on the line. A defining moment for both teams during the upcoming season. Maribor have more champions league experience but will need to get 1 goal without conceding . On the other hand, the visitors can play a defensive + counter attack game.
Maribor’s main striker is out indefinitely with an injury. Low scoring game this one and perhaps a few cards
Card before 24:00 @ 1.83
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.75
Champions league – Big names need to win
Hoffenheim vs Liverpool prediction
What a disappointing start to the Premier League Liverpool had on Saturday. Whilst the positive of scoring freely allows Liverpool to feel ok about Coutinho’s possible departure, bagging 3 goals from a poor side like Watford spells disaster for an aspiring team like Liverpool. This week Liverpool turn their heads towards the Champions league and meet a tougher contender in Hoffenheim. A fast paced German side, capable of putting up a decent challenge to any team, even in the Group stages. This game is crucial for Liverpool. If they do not pass the round and end up out of the Champions league it almost leaves them with a disappointing season and it’s only August. Hoffenheim bring pace and attacking possibilities. This side is free flowing and although Livperpool are the favourites, a win in Germany is going to be an uphill climb.
Celtic vs FC Astana prediction
Celtic park hosts the much awaited fixture on Wednesday between the Scottish giants and the Kazakhstan league leaders. Dembele will be out of this tie with an injury and that deals a blow to Celtic, but they are still the stronger side. Celtic are a tough side at home and they are still expected to win this first leg. FC Astana will be hoping to either snatch an away goal or limit the damage. Nevertheless they will be a hard headed side to go up against. The crowd will be, as always, Celtic’s 12th man.
Napoli vs Nice predictions
Napoli are hoping to avoid elimination in this round as this can be a serious pay day for their squad. Having had a great attacking display during the summer friendlies, Napoli go into this game knowing it is crucial to get this tie right. They are an attacking force and have no trouble scoring goals freely. Nice have been a tough cookie both in the French ligue 1 and also in Champions League in earlier rounds. They have young firepower but have lost their left back to Inter earlier this week.
European Super Cup
Real Madrid vs Manchester United
Real Madrid first 11: Navas, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo
Manchester United first 11: De Gea, Valencia, Lindeloef, Smalling, Blind, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Lukaku Rashford
The winners of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid and the winners of the UEFA Europa League, Manchester United face off today in Macedonia in what promises to be an exciting encounter. Jose Mourinho, a Real Madrid ex manager, has an ego the size of the world and please do not be fooled by his sweet talk tactics of praising Real Madrid. He wants this trophy and will never seriously consider himself an underdog. Meanwhile on the other hand, Zinedine Zidane, calm as ever explains that his team is ready for this match and obviously wants to win the cup as he considers it a prestigious trophy altogether. Zidane also said that it would be nice to go on and win the set of cups that come with winning the Champions league.
Both managers are expected to field their best 11. Initially it was though that Ronaldo would be given an extra few days off, having participated in the Confederations cup, however it seems as though he has been training with the squad of late. Another question mark was Gareth Bale. With Mourinho ready to pounce on the transfer market, Bale has not been in top condition and in doubt as to whether he will have a starting spot with Zidane’s 4-3-3. Assensio being the main perpetrator.
Expect an exciting match with a few goals and with both teams showing a fast pace display of free football. Lots of goals in this one we believe

Both sides go into this game knowing that a point is enough to guarantee them a place in the next round after seeing off the likes of Inter. Monaco Vs Tottenham
Monaco go into this game knowing that a win will guarantee them a place in the next round, which is just the second time in over ten years. Sporting CP Vs Real Madrid
Sporting are all but out of the Champions League as they trail second place Real Madrid by five points with just two games to go. The visitors travel to Portugal following a superb 0-3 victory over eternal rival Atletico Madrid in which star man Ronaldo scored a fantastic hat trick. This is a must win for Zidane’s side if they have any hope of topping their group. Away Win expected in Portugal.
Leicester City Vs Club Brugge
Despite their poor domestic run of form Leicester have proven to be more than a match for some of Europe’s heavyweights and a win on Tuesday night will see them top their group and should also mean an easy draw in the Last 16. The Belgians have had a tough time and have yet to win a point so far. Home Win expected at King Power Stadium.
Sevilla Vs Juventus
Sevilla might prove to be one of the surprise packages in this years Champions League as they top their group on 10 points and undoubtedly will settle for a point when Italian side Juventus visit on Tuesday night. Arsenal Vs Paris Saint Germain
Despite an awful display, Arsenal will delighted with the late point stolen at Old Trafford over their long standing Premier League rivals on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners sit on equal points with PSG and have enough experience in this competition to know the value of finishing first in their group. The visitors come into this game fresh from a home win over minnows Nantes and sit joint top of the Ligue 1 standings. Home Win expected at The Emirates Stadium.
Napoli Vs Dynamo Kyiv
Napoli have been extremely inconsistent in both their domestic and European commitments as the Neapolitans risk having yet another disappointing season. The visitors are definitely the weakest link in their group and have yet to win a game. This is a must win for the Italian side. Home Win expected at the San Paolo.
Borussia Moenchengladbach Vs Manchester City
Borussia Moenchengladbach shot themselves in the foot a few weeks ago when they were held at home by Celtic to all but rule them out of qualification into the next round. Manchester City came from behind to down European powerhouse Barcelona 3-1 in the last round in what was a thrilling game of football. This will be a close game but I reckon Pep Guardiola can lead his side to victory. Away win expected.
Atletico Madrid Vs PSV Eindhoven
Atletico are the only side in this competition to boast a 100% record as Simeone will demand an immediate reaction following his side’s embarrassing 0-3 home loss to eternal rivals Real Madrid on Saturday night. PSV have been very poor so far in this season securing just one point from their opening four games. Home Win expected at The Vicente Calderon.
